Consistent service, reliable streams

I've been a subscriber for a while now, usually opting for the annual plan for the savings. This past year, I primarily used it for their educational videos and archived access. My experience has been consistently good, much like my previous two years. The streams are reliable, even during peak times, which is a big plus for me when I'm watching late at night. They also added some new filmmaker showcases this year that were a pleasant surprise. It's why I keep coming back – I know what to expect and they deliver.

Good content, minor issues

I signed up for the monthly subscription to check out their independent films. The content selection was pretty solid, a lot of unique documentaries I hadn't seen elsewhere. Streaming quality was consistent for the most part. My main gripe was the navigation; finding specific genres felt a little clunky on my smart TV app. Also, their customer service took a couple of days to respond when I had a question about billing, which wasn't ideal but eventually got sorted. Overall, decent value for the price, especially if you're into niche programming.

Amazing live broadcasts!

I just watched a live broadcast event through Turning Point Broadcasting and it was fantastic! The picture was crystal clear and there were no buffering issues at all. It felt like I was right there. I'm definitely going to sign up for more events and tell all my friends about this service!

Easy to use, worth it

I got the series subscription after seeing an ad and it's been pretty chill. The setup was super easy, just a few clicks and I was watching. They have some cool cultural programming that I really liked, stuff you don't find on regular TV. No problems with payment or anything. It's just a good way to find different shows, felt pretty straightforward.

Thinking of signing up for the annual plan. Does that 15% off deal last every year or is it just for the first one?

S Sarah T. 1 month ago
From what I remember, the annual savings are usually a one-time thing, or at least that's how it worked when I first joined. They'll tell you if it's recurring.

Yeah, typically it's just for the first year, then it goes to the regular price. It's still a good chunk of change saved though up front.

Are there any student discounts for Turning Point Broadcasting? Or ways to get a bit of a deal besides the free trial?

E Elena L. 4 weeks ago
I haven't heard of a student discount specifically. They sometimes do Black Friday or New Year deals, so keep an eye out around those times.

Not usually. Most of their discounts are for new sign-ups or annual plans. Free trial is always there though.

Anyone know if you can watch stuff from Turning Point offline? Like download movies to a tablet for a trip?

R Raj 1 month ago
Not that I've seen, pretty sure it's all streaming. Would be a cool feature though.

Nah, I've looked for that before and it doesn't seem like an option. You need to be connected to watch.

Is Turning Point Broadcasting legit? Never heard of them but the content looks really interesting for documentaries.

P Phil V. 1 week ago
Yeah, totally legit. Been using them for a while now, no issues. Good quality streams and a solid collection of indie stuff.

It's a real company, they focus on independent media. Definitely not a scam if that's what you're worried about.

I'm looking for a streaming service for independent films. How does Turning Point Broadcasting compare to something like Uscreen or Vimeo OTT?

J Josh T. 1 month ago
Turning Point definitely leans more into the indie and documentary space. I'd say Uscreen is similar, but TPG has a more curated feel if you're into that.

Vimeo OTT is a platform for creators, so you get a huge range. TPG is more of a dedicated library, with some really niche stuff you don't find elsewhere. Depends on what you're after.

Just signed up and got a promo code. Where exactly do I put that in? Can't seem to find the box during checkout.

M Mark Doyle 1 month ago
It should be right there during the checkout process when you're picking your plan, before you put in your payment info. Look for a small link or box that says 'Promo Code' or 'Discount Code'.

It's usually pretty obvious during the final steps of signing up. If you already completed it, it might be too late for this billing cycle unfortunately.
